Bei Kaiserwetter konnte das Marathon PDF durchgeführt werden. Das sonnige Herbstwetter hat sich direkt auf Läufer, Helfer und Zuschauer übertragen. Rundum sonnige und lachende Gesichter waren zu sehen.

Vor 2.500 Jahren, anno 490 v. Chr., rannte ein gewisser Pheidippides der Legende zufolge von Marathon nach Athen und sank bei seiner Ankunft tot in den Straßenstaub. Diese Überlieferung begründete einen Mythos.

Am Beispiel bekannter Veranstaltungen wie Berlin-Marathon, Rennsteiglauf oder New-York-Marathon spüren die Autoren den Aspekten von Langstreckenlauf und Zeitgeist nach, geben hilfreiche Tipps zur Praxis („Marathon mit dem Babyjogger“) und beantworten letzte Fragen („Stärkt Laufen die Manneskraft?“).
„Marathon“ ist ein informatives und unterhaltsames Lesebuch, das 1995 erstmals bei rororo erschien, dort mehrere Auflagen erlebte und nun – komplett überarbeitet und mit vielen neuen Beiträgen – bei uns erscheint. Geblieben ist die Zahl der Kapitel: 42,195.

Auch wenn die Strecken des Napf-Marathons immer hart und herausfordernd sind, so war es heute einfach ein Genuss, die Strecke unter die Füsse zu nehmen und die herrliche Landschaft zu bewundern. Austragung war durch und durch gelungen und in allen Belangen ein Gewinn. Nicht viele Läufe können auf eine so lange Tradition zurückschauen und gleichzeitig zuversichtlich in die Zukunft schauen, da es nach der Jubiläumsaustragung mit dem Napf-Marathon weiter geht. Neue OK-Leute mit frischen Ideen und langjährige Vorstandsmitglieder werden dafür sorgen, dass die Geschichte des Napf-Marathons weitergeschrieben wird. Runners have always enjoyed this event with ample toilet, secure baggage drop, car parking and chip timing.

Everyone is Welcome Whether you are a first time runner or experienced athlete and regardless of age and ability with the only requirements being that you must be a minimum of 15 years of age on the day of the race to enter the 10k and 17 years of age to enter the half marathon and be fit enough to complete the course within 3. There will be water-stations at 5km intervals and at the finish and medical support will be available at the race site and along the course. All proceeds from the sale of these vests go directly to charity. 4 on the above fees for any registrations received before 30 April 2017. In the event of any dispute the decision of the Event Adjudicator and Race Director shall be final.

The Wineglass Half Marathon starts at 7:45 am on Sunday, October 6, 2019. The Corelle 5K is celebrating it’s 8th year running! This great family friendly 5k is held Saturday, October 5, 2019. It’s a great warm up event for anyone running the full and half marathoner on Sunday. The Corelle 5K sold out in 2018 with record crowd towing the start line.

ALL runners must take a bus to the start of both the full and half marathons. Bath is the start of the full marathon. The distance by bus to the half marathon start line is the same from either Bath or Corning. The Boston Marathon is an annual marathon hosted by several cities in greater Boston in eastern Massachusetts, United States.
